So I have made the move over to my new blog! I have decided to take the more professional approach as I am going to be graduating in the coming year, so I wanted to put my portfolio and blog all in one place. You can visit and keep updated on www.lorenkristiealdridge.co.uk and for my blog link its www.lorenkristiealdridge.co.uk/blog/
Thank you very much and keep following me over there- I have started as I mean to go on and I promise I am going to be more dedicated to posting regularly. I want to start following my progress over my final year at university!

New things.
Third year of university is just madness- there is so much pressure lying on my final year to get things done. I have some really exciting projects of the go and so many great things to look forward to as well!
I promise to keep you updated as things move forward.
To support my final year of university life, I have decided to create a brand new blog of which focuses on my life and my interests- I have grown so much since starting this blog. I am having a complete overhaul and re-organisation of my entire social media outlets too, as quite simply it has to be done.

Dior ADDICT
I had to post this video, as I am simply obsessed with it. Could not have been done better and I am just in love with Daphné Groeneveld- quite simply wish I was her.

Home Sweet Home.
I am finally home and settled in for Summer. This is where the work begins.
I thought I should probably do a little post to show some of my final work for the end of last term-so here it is. It is a collective of my projects completed this year. I have put in so much hard work this term and am pleased with the outcome, I feel like I have progressed a lot and I am ever excited about going into third year and completing the final major project. The ideas are flowing already and I am so inspired by all of the work that has been completed so far. Hope you like it.
Some D&AD self promotion work, for the Hunger Magazine.
My 48 Hour Zine Project- Cosmic.
This was a short Zine created all about my cosmic ramblings and thought- a subject close to my heart and something I have obsessed over for a long time- an astronomer at heart.
My final portfolio.
Here are some of the images from the inside of my portfolio too, I used some of the images I took for the Apocalypse This shoot and edited them to fit in with my own visual aesthetic, keeping minimal and with the B&W theme that I have had running throughout most of my work so far.
Get ready for a re-brand too, it's coming over this weekend. Bored of my blog for now, so I intend on shifting things about a little. I am starting a new project too, so I will shed some light on that a little later.

Apocalypse This Zine
For my final project I created a magazine called 'Apocalypse This', I have decided to share it online as it is something I am so proud of. The finished product looked great, as we bound each Zine by hand using a technique called 'Coptic Binding', we had a really successful day selling the Zine too at the Nottingham Zine fair and it is simply something I have loved creating. From the design, to the content and interviews, the entire process was so enjoyable.
I particualrlly loved shooting and directing the smoke bomb shoot, it was great fun getting behind the lens again. It was a project where I collaborated with Photographer Sam Kinge. Here are a few of the edited images.

So very busy.
I have never been quite as busy as I am right now- genuinely have a mad rush to meet deadlines and get my work finished. I have been loving this recent project though and love having a chance to do something focused on magazines again. To be honest I cannot wait for a little bit of spare time, to start other projects over summer and I plan on rejigging this blog a bit... May be relocating my personal blog elsewhere... More on that soon.
Since this project I know this is what I want to do, never enjoyed working so much. It's certainly tested my organisation skills, but I think I have really managed to adopt some discipline for once. Here are a few inside previews of the Zine, cannot wait for it to be printed and ready to bind. Watch this space.
Anyway, my report's not going to write itself! Enjoy.

Update.
It's been a while, yet again. Really not up to this whole blogging shenanigans at the moment- so very busy 24/7.
It's been an exciting time, getting picked to present in front of the British Fashion Council, finishing the project for London Fashion Weekend, working on the Nottingham Zine Fair and also producing a brand new Zine- and that's just getting me started...
I've recently been working on shoots and created a little video for my new Zine called 'Apocalypse This', it's focusing on the idea of the Apocalypse (surprisingly) and exploring a little deeper into its origins and meanings. It's so exciting and gives me a chance to let my 'inner nerd' out... Not that it wasn't already. The Zine was born from my weird obsession with Space and Astronomy- I didn't want to just do the obvious and it just developed from there, especially after numerous long chats with my boyfriend about ideas. But I am so excited about it right now, got some great interviews lined up and some awesome artists have contributed too. I am happy that the zine hasnt veered off to a sinister place and the visuals have kept it feeling pretty optimistic, which I am loving. Here is my viral video made as a montage of media snapshots, communicating the range of ideas that could contribute to the fall of our Planet, as well as some footage shot with my boyfriend and super talented photographer Sam Kinge and my soon-to-be-interactive-media-student-brother, Scott.

London Fashion Weekend.
Take a look at this viral video I shot and edited for The British Fashion Council- London Fashion Weekend. Many days hard work with my group, but has been worth while!
We created the video to promote The Womens Weekend sector- through the means of marketing the event as a live and interactive shoppping expereience, bringing fashion to life. Hope you like it.
